2000 Dragon Cheerleaders
NCCFL Cheerleading has three levels divided up by age in each of it's ten divisions. Our Midget Cheerleaders cover 6 to 8 year olds, our Juniors cover 9 to 11 year olds, and our Seniors cover 12 to 14 year olds. Each squad can contain up to 15 cheerleaders. The Midget, Junior and Senior squads may contain three mascots age 5 . Our cheerleaders cheer at all of their respective games on Saturday or Sunday. They also will participate in the annual Cheerleading Competition. For 2008 this is scheduled at the Bob Carpenter Center at the University of Delaware. Our emphasis is on teaching our participants the fundamentals of Cheerleading and sportsmanship. Building self esteem and having fun are always placed in front of the drive to win. However we do teach the disciplines necessary to compete. We are always in search of Cheerleading coaches and directors capable of teaching youth cheerleading. If you would like to volunteer click here. Cheerleaders will practice the same times as the football players, however they may not practice as many nights. Cheerleaders will receive vests and skirts to use for the season. Mascots will receive a T-shirt and sweatshirt which they may keep. Our Cheerleading sign-up cost is $40 payable by cash, credit card, or money order. All sign-ups are not official until payment has been processed. Avoid the long lines at sign-up by registering on-line, just pay by credit card. The equipment fee of $90 for cheerleaders and/or $75 for mascots, will be made at uniform hand out in August at the league warehouse. You may reduce it by $10 dollars per athlete by signing up and taking you parent class in May or $5 in June! You will also participate in a raffle sale of 50 $3 tickets. You may eliminate your equipment fee by selling 50 additional raffle tickets. Ask for details when you get your raffle tickets and information at parent class. Raffle money is due at uniform handout. There is a $120 family fee that covers our lease and maintenance on Blue Diamond Park. This fee allows you and all of your guests free access to the games at Blue Diamond Stadium. This fee may be covered by selling a single banner or year book ads totaling $150 dollars. By investing a small amount of time selling raffles and ads your athlete may participate for as little as $40. We also offer the opportunity to earn a credit for new athletes referred to the league. Click here for details! All parents (Benefactors excluded) are responsible for up to 3 volunteer activities when asked. For 2008 this will include traffic control and cart assistance and field days at Blue Diamond Stadium. There would be a $75 fee if you are unable to participate in these activities. You may also choose a one time Gold Benefactor donation of $450 for one athlete, $750 for two and $950 for a whole immediate family living at the same address, which would cover all of your costs and volunteer commitments. For 2008 we are offering a Platinum Benefactor Donation that will, in addition to all the Gold benefits, get your athlete(s) new cloth where available by fit. You will be fitted first with the equipment staff on the Monday before cheer equipment starts to avoid the lines and assure maximum availability of new equipment. Practice begins on August 4th with equipment handouts on August 26th thru 28th and games beginning on September 6th and 7th. All games will be held at our 4 field complex at Blue Diamond Park. Cheerleading Competition will be late October. The League Banquet will be early December. All cheerleaders receive a yearbook and trophy based on their Competition placement. All league cheerleaders are eligible for our Winter Competition Cheerleading.
