2008 Junior & Senior Information
The NCCFL
Junior and Senior teams are designed to take players both new
and
experienced and move them from the basic skills to high school caliper
of play. Our Junior and Senior rules are almost identical to
high
school rules. They are designed to transition players into high school
football as well as have fun. These are very competitive divisions,
however just as our other divisions, the primary focus is on skills
training, esteem building, and having fun! They play nine game
seasons. There will be playoffs and a championship game
at the end of the season. The games are held on Sunday. This
season games will be held at our 4 field complex at Blue
Diamond Park.They
are officiated
by high school official crews. All NCCFL athletes receive a minimum
of one quarter of continuous play. Our Junior teams are for
11 to 12 years old and our carry 30 players. Our Senior teams are
13
to 14 years old and carry 25 players. The league age is an athlete's
age on October 31st. We only sign up to the limit
and then we will place them on adjoining teams. A Junior running
back must weigh less than 115 lb., ends must weigh less than 125
lb. Senior
backs must be less than 140 lb. and ends less than 150 lb. All other
players will be marked as lineman. Games have a 10 minute stopped
clock quarter. Practice will be 5 nights a week until school starts,
then must drop to no more than 3 nights. A non refundable Sign-up
fee
of $40 cash, credit card, or check must accompany
sign-up forms. Avoid the long lines at sign-up by registering
on-line, just pay by credit card.
The equipment
fee of $110 will be collected at equipment handouts. You may
cover this cost by selling an additional 50 raffle tickets or
reduce it by $10 dollars per athlete by signing up and taking
you parent class in May or $5 in June! There is a $120 family fee that covers our lease and maintenance on Blue Diamond Park. This fee allows you and all of your guests free access to the games at Blue Diamond Stadium. This fee may be covered by selling a single banner or year book ads totaling $150 dollars. By investing a small amount of time selling raffles and ads your athlete may participate for as little as $40. We also offer the opportuniy
to earn a credit for new athetes reffered to the league. Click
here for details! All
athlete's are required to have at least one parent or guardian
attend
the Parent Awareness Seminar. You
will receive your raffle tickets and information packet in your parent
class. This class has really improved the practice and game atmosphere
allowing
our athletes a much better sports experience. ID
cards will be issued for receiving equipment. No equipment will
be
issued under any circumstances without this obligation being met.
Class sizes are limited and will be closed to sign-up when they
fill.
If you miss a class for an emergency reschedule immediately. Participation in the raffle sale of 50 $3 tickets is requied. All parents (Benefactors ecluded) are responsible for up to 3 volunteer activities when asked. For 2008 this will include traffic control and cart assitance and field days at Blue Diamond Stadium. There would be a $75 fee if you are unable to participatre in these activities. You
may also choose a one time Gold Benefactor donation of $450 for one
athlete, $750 for
two and $950 for a whole immediate family living at the same address,
which would cover all of your costs and volunteer commitments. For 2008
we are offering a Platinum Benefactor Donation that
will, in addition to all the Gold benefits, get your
athlete(s) new cloth (except Game Jersey) and Pads
as well as shoulder pads and Helmet as available by
fit. You will be fitted first with the equipment staff
on the Monday before equipment starts to avoid the
lines and assure maximum availability of new equipment. The
Benefactor Donations are donations and are not refundable
under any circumstances! Practice
begins on August 4th with equipment handouts beginning the week of August
10th and games beginning
on September
7th. The league banquet will be in December. All athletes receive a trophy (size determined
by team placement) and yearbook
at the banquet. Our teams and executive board are staffed with an
all volunteer force.
This
is
how we keep
costs
to
a minimum.
We
are
always
in
search
of volunteers who posses the skills to teach youth sports. If you
can help out please click here to volunteer.
